Arcanist's Obsidian Sharpedge Dice Set

Scattered across the peaks and valleys of the Volcanic Mountains are deposits of Arcanist's Obsidian. Black as night and smooth as glass, it shares all the same properties as obsidian: dense, durable, and viciously sharp. But where obsidian may range from black to brown, Arcanist's Obsidian is always black. Likewise does it consistently contain veins of shimmering gold and translucent white, all as sharp and hard as the rest of it. 

 

Although valued for its beauty, its true value lies in its secondary properties: the reasons for its name. Of these there are three. Firstly, it serves as an incredible conduit for magic. Near nothing is lost during casting, as magic travels between source and spell. Secondly and in spite of its former property, items crafted from Arcanist's Obsidian will store spells at the user's will. 

 

Its most notorious property, however, is its third. Arcanist's Obsidian is capable of storing unshaped magic, which the bearer may, at a later date, shape into any spell of his or her choosing. 

 

These properties it maintains be the bearer human, dragon, or deity.
