Dicemas Ornaments – The Casino Die

We have a line of ornaments made from recycled dice too damaged or warped to be sold as a part of a 7-dice set. These casino ornaments, however, are a bit different: the dice used in these handcrafted ornaments are genuine casino dice from the MGM Grand Detroit. Unlike gaming dice (which are reasonably balanced), casino dice must be mathematically perfect. This is so important that all casino dice in the United States of America are licensed and/or regulated by each state's official gaming control board. Repeated use gradually wears them away over time, and this wear eventually skews the result of a roll just enough that the worn die must be retired. Casinos drill holes through these retired dice to make identification obvious. But from there... the dice become useless. They cannot be used by the casino and they can't be used in casual play (courtesy of the bore hole drilled imperfectly through the center). These ornaments breathe new life into these dice, transforming them into little art pieces with unique history.

Ornament hanger included.

Please note that due to their origins, some of these dice will possess minor cosmetic issues. And, of course, a bore hole through the center (top-to-bottom and featured in the second image).
